NSW: Qantas building evacuated after acid spill

SYDNEY, Feb 13 AAP - A Qantas building near Sydney airport was evacuated this morning
after an acid spill sent fumes through its air conditioning system.

NSW Fire Brigade Superintendent Ian Krimmer said the Qantas administration building
in Mascot was evacuated as a precaution.

The airport was not affected, he said.

Supt Krimmer said the alarm was raised after "a small acid spill" occurred in a bin,
with fumes being sent into the building's air conditioning.

It was not known how many people were in the building at the time.
